One Response to Rod Macleod (Emeritus, History) in Journal: Faculty of Arts “long way down on university’s list of priorities in recent times”

  1. As an outsider to the U of A, it’s not clear to me why the faculty of arts is “a long way down on the university’s list of priorities” and why the faculty is missing opportunities to connect with the community. We’ve all heard Prime Minister Harper and Premier Redford tout Alberta as the economic engine of Canada for the 21st century. One would think that understanding how Alberta reached this position of prominence would be relevant and interesting to the community and the nation at large. There is no better time than now to engage in the dialogue to ensure that Alberta’s role in building this country is understood and celebrated by Albertans and Canadians alike.
