Reply-To: Michael Hoffman <michael.hoffman@UTORONTO.CA>

Dear colleagues,

Thank you for supporting the collective open letter asking funding agencies in Canada to stop using the Canadian Common CV and replace it with an easier-to-update common format.

We chose not to send the letter during the federal election campaign because agencies are unable to respond during a writ period. We are now preparing to send it next week and will be closing the letter to signatures on November 14.

If you have any colleagues who might wish to sign, please feel free to send it to them now:

Because this letter is a grassroots initiative led by researchers, we don’t have any way to systematically reach all people involved in Canadian research who are asked to complete Canadian Common CVs.

We will send you another update after we have sent the letter, and we will also let you know if and when we receive responses from the agencies.

Sincerely yours,
